MPG Consulting offers a consulting service in rare-game breeding to local and international breeders.  MPG’s managing director, Stefan Malan, is part of the MMM Breeders team and has built up extensive knowledge in rare-game farming over the past 10 years. MMM Breeders currently farms with various game species on three farms in Namibia; two farms are in the Aranos district to the East, and one is in the Omaruru district to the West of the country.

MMM Breeders have not remade the game breeding wheel, but have obtained the best ideas and knowledge through intensive research. By visiting and studying the methods of 25 of South Africa’s top game breeders, as well as numerous game breeders within Namibia, they have benefitted  by successfully implementing all the gathered communal experience in their own breeding practices. 

 

MMM Breeders’ first breeding herd was purchased from a breeder with 12 years of experience in a specific genetic group. It is on these selective genetic choices and years of consistent family tree data that MMM still builds. They also strongly believe in breeding diversity in selective bloodlines and family trees. New animals are selected genetically from a variety of breeders who could supply historic data built on 25 years of farming with Sable and Roan herds. 

 

MMM Breeders established an astonishing Sable herd of 100 female and 30 Roan antelope, including superb breeding bulls. They also farm with other rare game species such as Lechwe, Nyala, Tsessebe, Black Impala, Golden Blue Wildebeest as well as plain game such as Springbuck, Oryx, Eland and Kudu.
